Taxonomic Information
Two junior synonyms of nara appear commonly in older literature: Tarucus extricatus Butler, 1886 (Rounded Pierrot), and Tarucus alteratus Moore, 1882 (Rusty Pierrot). Tarucus bengalensis Bethune-Baker, 1917 may prove to be yet another synonym for nara.
