Balakrishnan pers. obs. 2017), Strobilanthes (Robinson et al. 2010) (Acanthaceae). Achimenes grandiflora (V.C. Balakrishnan pers. obs. 2017) (Gesneriaceae). Strobilanthes callosus (Wynter-Blyth 1957; Kunte 2000; Robinson et al. 2010), Strobilanthes ciliata (P. Churi pers. obs. 2017) (Acanthaceae). A subspecies name, Junonia iphitapluviatalis (Fruhstorfer, 1900), is sometimes given, which represents infrasubspecific variation.
